Israeli Missile Ends Football Match, Leaving 5 Children Killed

(WAFA) - An Israeli missile has ended a football match today in Deir al-Balah before the time was over after it hit the child football players, tearing down their tiny bodies to pieces.

They were a group of children from the Central Gaza Strip city of Deir al-Balah who sought to get out of the depressing daily mood caused by the Israeli war machines. The children decided to go the what was known as Kfar Darom colony to play football in a play ground they have prepared. The game started. They played, but an Israeli missile fired by a drone stopped the game and left five of them killed and others severely wounded.

Jihad al-Masar'a, one of the children who escaped death in the attack, said with fear filling his heart as he was lying on his bed at hospital "as we were playing, an explosion shake the playground. I did not know what happened unless I was brought to hospital and told that five of my friends were killed."

"so far, I cannot believe what happened. I don't know who of my friends was killed and who was wounded," said the pale-faced Jihad, questioning why they were targeted while they are children who were playing, not carrying weapons.

Medical sources said the children have not been identified yet, affirming that their bodies were torn to pieces due to the highly explosive missile fired at them.

The sources affirmed that other seven children were critically wounded and suffer from severe burns and fractions all over the bodies, pointing out that the Israeli occupation has recently been using explosive devices and bombs which are internationally banned.

Since Wednesday dawn, at least fifteen citizens were killed by Israeli Occupation across the Gaza Strip, including nine family members, whose house was hit by F16 jet fighters.
