This morning, I decided to leave home a bit earlier to make extra time to get through the checkpoint, but as soon as I reached it, there was a very long line of cars.
While waiting for my turn, I heard a voice of a small kitten, crying in its tiny voice “Meaw…. Meaw” my first thought was that it is stuck somewhere in my car, but as I checked my rearview mirror, I saw this tiny little gray kitten trying to jump on the Wall! I didn’t know if I wanted to laugh or cry at this amazing sight, it was really struggling to jump on the Wall and cross over to the other side of the street, it would jump with all its might and try to climb, only to fall back down, and try again. But after several attempts it just gave up, and went back to the place where it came from.
Unfortunately, it seems that not just human beings can’t cross the check points but also animals. Maybe Israel should create a permit system for animals too. Not sure though if this kitten will figure out how to apply!
I wish I had camera to take picture or video for the scene, but I am sure it’s something I will not forget.
