Outraged, New Yorkers are planning a mass protest
against the escalating and ongoing catastrophe the
Occupying “Israeli” State has been waging against the
Palestinians. Since Wednesday, February 27th, 2008, the
Israeli Occupation Forces have attacked Palestinian schools,
mosques, and even soccer fields, murdering children as they
studied, prayed, and played childhood games. As of today the
Palestinian death toll has reached well over 120 with hundreds
more seriously injured by the Israeli planes, which have
pummeled Palestinians with rocket fire and heavy artillery.

Defence Forces is holding a $1000-a-plate dinner at
the Waldorf Astoria. Al- Awda NY, the Palestine Right to
Return Coalition will be holding a mass protest to let them
know that the Israeli Occupation Forces are not welcome
in New York. Al-Awda is calling for an immediate end of
U.S. aid to “Israel,” an end to the continued genocide of
Palestinians, and an end and the illegal
occupation of Palestine.

incomprehensible and despicable that these war criminals
—who just murdered over one hundred Palestinian innocents
and children in their homes, in their schools, and on
playgrounds—have the audacity to come raise money
for their genocidal plans and stuff their greedy faces on
our streets” says a representative of Al-Awda.

The protest, which comes during a flurry of activity marking
the 60th year of ongoing occupation and exile of
Palestinians by the “Israeli” government, will be outside
the site of the IOF Fundraising Dinner,
at the Waldorf Astoria on 50th Street & Park Avenue
next Tuesday March 18, 2008 at 5:00 pm.
