Israel’s Shin Bet have publicly acknowledged that the main reason for the sharp decline in suicide attacks in Israel is the truce by militant organizations brokered by President Abbas, and not the accelerated construction of Israel’s Wall in the occupied Palestinian territory.

In 1967, when Israel began violating the Fourth Geneva Convention by transferring Israeli civilians into illegal Israeli colonies in Occupied Palestinian Territory, Israel claimed the colonies were a “temporary security measure.” More than 38 years later, these colonies have not only become permanent, but continue to expand.

6. Israel continues to reserve the right to confiscate Palestinian agricultural land if it is not being regularly farmed, even if the reason that it is not being farmed is due to Israel’s refusal to allow farmers access to their fields.

7. Over two-thirds of Gaza’s population survives on less than 2.1 Euros/day.

8. During the Oslo years, the Israeli military continued land confiscation and nearly doubled the population of its illegal colonies.

9. In order to ensure Israeli control over its colony blocs, the Wall has been routed around these blocs and their planned expansion.

10. The Gaza Strip remains occupied today, even after the implementation of the “Disengagement” Plan.

11. The Wall divides Palestinian farmers from their land, Palestinian students from their schools, Palestinian worshippers from their holy sites and Palestinian patients from their hospitals.

12. The International Court of Justice determined that the Wall is illegal under international law and is not a military necessity.

13. Through its military orders, Israel has already “legally” expropriated all or most of the land it seeks for its colonies and related by-pass roads.

14. The International Court of Justice ruled that Israel must halt construction of the Wall, return the land to Palestinians whose property has been seized and pay compensation to them.
