Gaza - The PA health ministry warned Sunday of a total collapse of health services in Gaza Strip due to power failure and fuel shortage, in addition to water shortage as a result of Israeli bombardment, large scale blockade and destruction of the infrastructure.
In a report the ministry said that 200,000 Palestinian families in Gaza live without electricity, while the other families have power failure between 8 to 12 hours daily.
The report highlighted the negative effects of power failure and water shortage on patients and health institutions.
The ministry appealed to all international, health and humanitarian institutions to act immediately to put an end to the blockade and the continued Israeli aggressions against the citizens and to supply Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories with foodstuff, medical supplies and fuel.
The ministry also called upon the international community to pressure Israel to facilitate Arab and friendly countries' assistance to the Palestinian people to urgently repair the sole power station in Gaza Strip.
