Gaza - A Palestinian young man was killed on Saturday and ten others were injured including children one of whom was in a critical condition in an Israeli missile raid that targeted a house north of Gaza city, PIC correspondent reported.
The correspondent added that Israeli F-16 warplanes fired two missiles at the two-story house of Dr. Sa'eed Al-Yazji completely destroying it.
Ambulance and civil defense squads rushed to the scene along with policemen and hundreds of Palestinians who all took part in evacuating the casualties, as civil defense teams started looking for possible survivors who could still be under the rubble.
Dr. Juma Al-Sakka, director of the Shifa hospital's public relations department, identified the martyr as Omar Younis, 25, and added that he was hit with shrapnel and burns all over his body.
He added that the ten other wounded civilians grouped women and children including an 8-month-old infant. Dr. Sakka said that an 11-year-old boy Ahmed Al-Jadba was in a very serious condition after being hit with shrapnel in his head.
He pointed out that another girl was hit with shrapnel in her head and chest and her condition was serious and an old man's injuries were also described as serious.
Eyewitnesses said that the house was only recently built and had a carpentry underneath it, which raised the number of casualties due to the presence of workers in it.
The IOF committed a dreadful massacre last week when its warplanes targeted another civilian building killing an entire family: Dr. Nabil Abu Salmiya, his wife and seven kids.
For its part, the armed wing of the Hamas Movement declared responsibility for firing at dawn Saturday two Qassam missiles at the Kibbutz Be'eri and announced it was in retaliation to IOF brutal aggressions in the Strip.
A group of the AMB, armed wing of Fatah, and the armed wing of the DFLP claimed joint responsibility for firing four mortar shells at the Israeli military outpost in Kissufim, adding that ambulance cars were seen rushing to the scene to evacuate the casualties.
