Dozens of Palestinian civilians, including several children, were killed in fresh attacks on Gaza in the early hours of Sunday morning as the Israeli Defense Forces continue to expand their ground operation. At least 25 people were killed as a heavy Israeli bombardment targeted homes in the Al-Shejaia neighbourhood east of Gaza City centre. The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported that “Up to 300 people have been seriously wounded" in the attacks. The bodies of several children were brought to Al-Shifaa Hospital in Gaza City as the bombardment continued on the Al-Shejaia neighbourhood. At least 397 Palestinians have been killed since Israel launched its military operation against Gaza 13 days ago.
