Popular Resistance Friday and Sunday

On Friday 19 February, larger than usual demonstrations against the apartheid system are expected in two of the many weekly demonstrations in the West Bank: Bil'in and Al-Ma'sara. The Israeli army promises has tried desperately to  block such civil resistance actions.  In Bil'in, the village people mark the 5th year of weekly protests.  In Al-Ma'sara, the town people invited in the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine to come join their protest in large numbers (they did this earlier very successfully with other factions).  Buses from Beit Sahour to go to Al-Ma'sara at 11:30 AM.

The Popular Committee for the Defense of Ush Ghrab (composed of all political factions, and representatives of civil society institutions) invites you Sunday, 21 February 2010 to defend the last open area not covered by the ring of settlements around the Bethlehem district. The residents of Beit Sahour and nearby towns, with help from internationals, are invited to join together to protest the military designs on the area of Ush Ghrab. Buses will be available in front of Churches after Sunday services and we will be present at the hill of Ush Ghrab from 10:30-12:30 where prayers for peace and justice will be offered and where we protest the military designs that are intended to satisfy right wing settler elements.  Please let us know that you are coming and spread the word on popular resistance.
