Note: Many Palestinians and people from around the globe do not like the World Bank and do not trust its report. However, it is important to know about the World Bank reports on Palestine, and see how much of it is true or not.
The World Bank in West Bank and Gaza has released yesterday a new report "Checkpoints and Barriers: Searching for Livelihoods in the West Bank and Gaza—Gender Dimensions of Economic Collapse". The report examines the impact of the conflict and the closure regime on Palestinian women. While stressing that only sustained lifting of economic restrictions by Israel will reverse negative trends, it recommends specific action by the Palestinian Authority in the immediate term.
