Israeli forces kill four Palestinians in northern Gaza Strip

After several other attacks on the Gaza Strip, Israeli forces continued to fire missiles into the north this morning. Palestinian medical sources and eyewitnesses report that Israeli forces killed at least four Palestinians and injured nine others in one of the pre- dawn attacks.

Israeli warplanes fired into a group of armed resistance members in Abed Rabbo, east of the town of Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip early Saturday. This makes at least 14 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip in two days.

Eyewitnesses counted seven air-to-surface missiles fired from an Apache fighter helicopter into a gathering of Palestinians, including members of the armed resistance.

The General Director of Emergency and Ambulatory Medicine in PA Ministry of Health, Dr. Mu'aweya Hasanean confirmed that Israeli warplanes fired seven missiles within five minutes, concentrating on a group of citizens. As the invasion was ongoing he reported, "There are people killed, but the exact situation is unclear. Ambulances and medics cannot reach the scene as the Israelis are still attacking."

Israeli forces also hit Palestinian houses and other groups of people, however did not cause injuries, in several ground and air attacks on the Gaza Strip throughout the night.

This latest sleepless night for the Palestinian people surviving under severe siege in the Strip comes in a lengthy history of assassinations, closures, and devastating attacks on people, industry, and land.
