Israeli launch several attacks throughout Gaza Strip, destroying homes in air strikes

Palestinian security sources reported that during Saturday's pre-dawn hours Israeli F16 warplanes fired missiles into the southern Gaza Strip town of Rafah. The rocket attack destroyed a house in the Al Salam neighborhood.

Eyewitnesses near the Palestinian – Egyptian border said that the Israeli missile fire completely destroyed the four-story family home. No one was injured, however several neighboring homes sustained heavy damage.

East of the town of Jabaliya in the northern Gaza Strip, Israeli forces invaded by ground. That attack came during the pre-dawn hours as well, with Israeli military vehicles, including Caterpillar bulldozers and tanks plowing through early Saturday.

Official Palestinian security sources reported that the tanks and other military vehicles invaded under cover of Apache helicopters amid intensive fire. Members of the armed resistance rushed to the northeastern Gaza City town in an attempt to stop the invasion. No one was injured.

Both Palestinian security sources and eyewitnesses affirmed that Israeli forces also invaded the eastern Khan Younis town of Abassan, in the southern Gaza Strip. This is the same area that the Israeli military had just invading, leaving seven people dead, including a mother of five children, two civilians, and three members of the Hamas-linked armed resistance, Al Qassam Brigades.

The Israeli local news announced on Thursday after that major killing that Israeli forces will continue escalating attacks on the Gaza Strip under the pretext that they must stop the armed projectile launches from the north.

The projectiles generally land in the vicinity of Sderot with rarely even any property damage, let alone injuries or deaths. The second reason cited by the Israeli military is the Israeli soldier, captured as he invaded the southern Gaza Strip on 25 June.
