Gaza - Ma'an - The director of public relations in the Ash Shifa'a hospital, Dr. Jum'ah As Saqqa, has said that the results of the Italian medical investigation into the serious burns seen on the bodies of the dead and wounded in Gaza over recent months show that a new type of American-made weapon called 'DIME' (Dense Inert Metal Explosive) was used by the Israeli army.

He added, "Through our documentation and images of the dead bodies and the injured, there were found remnants of shrapnel that had written "experimental weapons manufactured in the United States of America". According to the Italian report, which was reported in the Israeli newspaper 'Haaretz', such weapons were used in Iraq, specifically in the city of Fallujah.

As Saqqa also said that after an investigation into this matter and after the samples were tested in Italy, Israel stopped its use of these weapons.
