Two Gazan youths were just killed along with three others who were injured by an Israeli bomb. The ordinance exploded Friday in the al-Shujaiyya neighborhood of eastern Gaza City.
Ambulances from the Shujaiyya area raced to the area immediately, but there the two casualties had already died instantly when the Israeli bomb exploded unexpectedly.
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza spokesman Ashraf al-Qidra said that the two casualties were Ayman Ziad Abu Jibba, 23, and Abdullah Jibril Abu Aser, 23.
Al-Qidra said that the bodies had been taken to the al-Shifa hospital in Gaza City, where they were confirmed and pronounced dead.
The Gaza Strip is littered unexploded Israeli ordinances like this. In August, some six Gazan children were killed in similar blasts.
Police explosives teams have been trying to safely detonate these Israeli bombs, but hundreds still remain.
