Carter: Gaza siege one of the worst violations against humanity

altGaza, November 13, (Pal Telegraph - Occupied Palestine) Former U.S. President Jimmy Carter told Al-Jazeera on Friday that Israel and other regional countries were working to strengthen the Fatah party against Hamas, despite the latter having control in Gaza.

Carter condemned the continued blockade on the Gaza Strip as one of the worst violations against humanity.

The U.S. leader said Hamas won the elections, but Israel jailed their politicians and threatened others to be deported, stressing that delivering peace to Israel is impossible without delivering security to the Palestinians first.

He added that it was unfortunate that the world watches the siege on Gaza with acceptance and satisfaction while 40,000 students in the Strip are denied the right to education because of Israel’s block of building materials used to erect schools.

  1. Jimmy Carter is the voice of truth in a sea of lies! His courage and convictions are worthy of another Nobel Peace Prize!

The apartheid government of Israel is starting to weaken in terms of its propaganda shield. Thanks to courageous people like Jimmy Carter, others are encouraged to also speak the truth!

The US congress is an occupied territory and it is the duty of all Americans to throw AIPAC out of the White House. We must take back control of our country and fight for a just and fair foreign policy that shows more balance and humanity in the Palestinian conflict!

  2. President Carter, I thank you for your consistant message of true love that Jesus preached, love for all, and will the so-called christian right wake up and find that their war cries are anathema to healing, anathema to the process of the santification by the holy spirit, and anathema to truth. I read your sister's work in the field of Inner Healing and have experienced the transformative power of Jesus stepping into past memories. Thank you for your family's imprint in these times.

History will also demonstrate that Isreal's crimes against the Palestian people is no different that what Hitler did to the Jews and Pols. Shame on Isreal and shame on the US for being complicit in these crimes against humanity.

What did the Europeans do to the Native Americans????????? THINK ABOUT IT all you self righteous know it alls.
Hummmm......Maybe we should all leave this country and go home, at least we have homes to go to, then the Natives can have there home back. I think the 12 tribes of Israel were native to Israel, to begin with, were'nt they? Hmmmmmmmmmmm??????? Countries take over countries, that's the way this fc'd up patriarchal/male dominated world has been for all of known HIS-story. Get over it. Why don't you people just admit you're just a bunch of Jew-haters looking for an excuse to exterminate, once again. Where are all the middle eastern friends of the Palestinians? Why didn't they open there countries to them way back in the beginning? Israelis gave the Palestinians an opportunity way back in the beginning to live peacefully among them in Israel. It wasn't good enough for them and they didn't behave so the fighting goes on and on...........

@Anonymous - 12:34AM...No! The 12 Tribes of Israel were not indiginous to the region. They came as invaders. You should read some history, true history:

And the "Jew-hater" crap is getting really old. Israel remains an illegal entity with Israeli Jews the thieves of Palestine.
