The US national debt has reached $13 trillion for the first time in history, the Treasury Department says.
Amid vast government spending designed to stave-off economic calamity, the debt reached $13,050,826,460,886.97 on June 1, AFP reported on Wednesday.
The US national debt has increased by around $1.6 trillion over the past year and more than doubled over the past ten years.
It now stands at just under 90 percent of annual gross domestic product.

With wars the United States Is trying to win in Afghanistan, Iraq, and else where but can't and then all the money it gives Israel like The additional 205 million dollars in military aid to Israel that the White House asked the US Congress to approve a couple of weeks ago is another example of why this debt is so high.
