Yemen issues stamps, post cards to commemorate Gaza siege

Gaza – Ma'an – Yemen's central post system announced the launch of a new series of postage stamps and cards highlighting the ongoing siege of Israel against the Gaza Strip, de facto government officials announced.

The new series of stamps reportedly mark historical events around the Arab world, and the Gaza edition is meant as a tribute to the "Palestinians and their cause," de facto Minister of Information Yousef Al-Mansi said.

The official said he sent a letter to his Yemeni counterpart, Kamal Hussein Al-Jabri, thanking him for the gesture, and praising Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh for his service to the Palestinian cause.

"We joyfully received your decision to release new postal stamps that represent the suffering of Gaza while being under siege," the letter said.
