Islamic Youth Awakening (Sahwah) Campaign - My appeal to you

Can you Imagine we become a great Ummah again? Can you imagine a whole generation of Muslim youth who are very proud of being Muslims? Can you imagine we are treated with dignity and respect from very nation on earth. This is Not going to happen unless we have Islamic Youth Awakening (Sahwah) Campaign for all Muslim youth, the engine of our Ummah. Our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW focused on building the Islamic identity of Muslim youth. Ali ibn Abi Talib was 10; Talhah ibn Ubaydullah was 14; Said ibn Zayd was 15; Alzobier ibn Alawam was 15; Sad ibn Abi Waqqas was 17; Abdullah ibn Masud was 16; Omar Ibn AlKhattab was 26 years old, when they saw the light of Islam. These are some of the great youth companions of the prophet SAW. These are the youth that built a great Ummah, and a great civilization, after our prophet Muhammad SAW passed away.

I live in a city in USA, and I personally know 8 Muslim girls, who converted FROM Islam to atheism, Jehovah witness, Christianity and Buddhism. I also know many Muslim youth who are addicted to alcohol and drugs. Each case makes me very sad. An Imam told me that a mother of a 24 years old Muslim woman got pregnant from a non-Muslim man. Can you imagine the feeling of this mother. Can you imagine the feeling of the parents of converted Children? Can you imagine how they live together in the same house? Is this our future Ummah? God forbid. On the other side, in that same city when I first came, there was not a single Mosque. After 30 year we have over 40 Mosques. AlHamd Le Allah.

Recently, I visited Arab countries. There I saw many youth lost between western pop culture, Arabic Satellite TV, and repulsive videos of Arab singers. I read an article about students going to their classes holding mobile phones with no books. I saw happy kids in a swimming pool dancing to disgusting American songs. I saw Kamal Ataturk in action in Arabic countries, changing names of streets, shops and building numbers from Arabic, language of the glorious Quran, to English. I asked myself: Where is the Islamic identity? Where are the Islamic moral values? One day, not long ago, actually less than a century ago we had Caliphate. Unfortunately, to some Muslims, Caliphate is so far away from their minds.

We need our Islamic identity back. We need our Islamic moral values back. Our beloved prophet Muhammad SAW left us with the glorious Quran and the Islamic moral values and practices that emphasize Islamic Unity.

Islam is a religion of Unity: we go to Mosque together, we pray Friday prayer together. we fast together, we perform Hajj together. Can we work together for a global Islamic Youth Awakening? I believe we can and we should.

I appeal to members of this group to support this Dawah effort. I appeal to members of this group to post articles inspiring to youth. I appeal to the owner and moderators of this group to promote and support this campaign, and to allow one day of the week, Monday, to be devoted to this campaign? Can we do that? I believe we can and we should.

I am not saying this is the only thing we should do. But I am saying let us push this campaign to one of our top priorities. I know there are many articles, posted in this group, that are inspiring youth to become better Muslims. So, post articles under this title: Islamic Youth Awakening (Sahwah) Campaign, to show this campaign exists, and many Muslims are supporting it.

I appeal to members of this group to volunteer in Islamic Youth Awakening (Sahwah) Campaign is at:

Our goal is to reach a million Muslim youth with this campaign in 5-10 years. Can we do it? InShaa Allah, I believe we can and we should. InShaa Allah, I believe we can even exceed this goal with the grace of Allah, because there are millions and millions of very proud Muslim youth everywhere.
