Access to Healthcare given to People in Gaza if they turn informers

In yet another all time low for Israel, it's being reported by An Israeli rights group that Palestinian patients seeking medical treatment abroad have become an accessible and important target for Israeli security agents to obtain intelligence information on Palestinian resistance groups, AFP reported.

A report by Physicians for Human Rights-Israel said that Palestinian patients have "become an accessible and important target for the GSS (General Security Services) for the purposes of recruiting and gathering information."

The group added that the Israeli move was against international law, citing the Fourth Geneva Convention, which explicitly prohibits coercing civilians into providing intelligence information.

According to the report, Israeli security agents interrogate patients at border crossing before they enter Israel form the Gaza Strip, and make their entry conditional on their recruitment as informers.
