Announcement

PCHR Unable to Print some Reports due to the Siege

PCHR apologizes to the public and to the persons
who receive and read the Center's publications
for being unable to print a number of reports
that were compiled recently. The Centre is
unable to publish paper copies of these
reports due to the unprecedented siege on
the Gaza Strip, which resulted in exhausting
local printing houses of the necessary raw
materials. The Centre points that the most
printing houses in the Gaza Strip informed
PCHR of their inability to print these reports:

- Suffering behind Bars: report on the
situation of Palestinian prisoners in Israeli
occupation jails.

- Status of the Handicapped in the Gaza Strip:
evaluation of the situation of the handicapped in
light of Law No. 4 for the year 1999 and its executive bill.

- Evaluation of Performance of the
Palestinian Legislative Council: report
evaluating the performance of the PLC
in its first session from March 2006 – July 2007.

The reports, which are currently available only in
Arabic, are accessible on PCHR's web site on the
following links:

The Centre indicates that these reports will be
printed in paper as soon as local printing
houses are able to do so in order to
disseminate the reports as widely as possible.
