Israeli forces kill five family members, including a child, in southern Gaza Strip



At dawn Thursday Israeli forces invaded eastern Khan Younis in a major operation against the armed resistance.

A large number of Israeli tanks and military vehicles invaded Khuza Village under cover of Apache helicopters and reconnaissance warplanes that fired heavily from the sky.

Israeli forces killed five Palestinians from the Qideij family, including a young girl and two members of the armed resistance.

Medical sources at Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis City report the names of the killed as 40 year old Adel, 13 year old Suhayb, 25 year old Abdel Rahman, and two members of the same family and armed resistance members from Al Qassam Brigades, 25 year old Salah and 22 year old Na'el.

The Palestinian medical sources pointed out that Abdel Rahman. and the young girl Suhayb were both shot in the head causing immediate death. Three of the bodies were found scattered. Two were killed by the warplanes that opened fire on a group of people. Many others are injured from missile fragments and shooting.

Palestinian security sources indicated that Israeli bulldozers and tanks began bulldozing vast areas of agricultural land while others raided and searched homes while shooting at citizens. Children and many other residents went into a general state of panic.
