Israeli helicopter gunship flattens Palestinian home

Khan Younis - An Israeli helicopter gunship Friday night fired two missiles at the home of Subhi Kallab, 50, in the southern Gaza Strip city of Khan Younis leveling it to the ground, eyewitnesses reported.

The Israeli, American-made, Apache chopper targeted the home of Kallab, one of the commanders of the Qassam Brigades the armed wing of Hamas Movement, in Amal suburb west of Khan Younis city.

A PA security source said that a Palestinian old woman was hit with the missile shrapnel and was carried to hospital for treatment while the two-story house was flattened.

Witnesses said that the IOF command asked occupants of that house to leave their home minutes before the raid in an escalation of that new IOF policy that recently turned into a semi-daily practice.

Two Palestinian boys were killed on Friday morning when an Israeli drone fired a missile at them while riding their bikes near Beit Hanun town north of the Strip.

Meanwhile, Israeli gunboats at a late hour Friday night fired at a Palestinian fishing boat off Khan Younis beach.

Witnesses said that the boat was directly hit and was on fire but they could not say yet whether any casualties were suffered.

Israeli navy has been harassing Palestinian fishermen and curbing their moves off the Gaza shores for the past two months limiting their ability to fish in deep waters.
