At dawn Monday Israeli forces stormed Nour Shams Refugee Camp, east of Tulkarem. Eyewitness reports indicate that Israeli soldiers raided several homes in the northwestern West Bank area. Intense searches ensued and Israeli forces took two young men to unknown locations. Hamoud Yousef and Ayman Ghanaim are presumably now in Israeli interrogation centers. Ghanaim suffers from kidney disease and is need of medical attention.
Israeli forces also stormed Tulkarem’s neighboring Balaa Village homes, including that of the first assistant in the local police. However, no arrests were reported.
Elsewhere today Israeli forces continued tightening its military actions at the entrances of the city and imposing military roadblocks at the entrances of Tulkarem District towns and villages. No Palestinian under 30 years old is allowed to move, while cars are not making it through roadblocks heading south to Ramallah or Qalqilia. Israeli forces are also preventing farmers from reaching their agricultural lands that now lie on the other side of the Israeli Wall.
