ISESCO's DG Calls on Islamic World for Firm Stance to End Israeli Practices

RABAT, July 19, (WAFA)-Director General of ISESCO, Abdulaziz Altwaijri, called upon the Islamic world to take a concerted, firm stance to bring an end for Israeli practices.

In a press statement issued Wednesday, Altwaijri said that Israel should be tried at the International Criminal Court for war crimes in the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) and Lebanon.

Altwaijri reaffirmed that the barbaric air, land and sea strikes mounted by the Israeli forces on residential areas in cities and villages of Lebanon, the killing of civilian refugees, the targeting of relief convoys, the destruction of civilian institutions and infrastructure -ports, airports, roads, bridges, governmental administrations, houses, hospitals, religious, educational and cultural institutions, and the similar acts of violence perpetrated in Gaza and the West Bank, are a blatant violation of the International law.

He added that war crimes entail and immediate action by powerful states and the United Nations to halt that savage aggression, and to bring its perpetrators to justice before the International Criminal Court, saying that only then the region can avoid the risk of sliding into complete disaster.
