Palestinian journalist dies of injuries suffered in Israeli airstrike
GAZA, (PIC)-- The Palestinian journalist Mohamed Dahir, who works for al-Risalah media institution, died on Thursday of injuries he sustained in in the first Shujaiya massacre a few days ago.
On July 20, Israeli warplanes targeted Dahir’s home in Shujaiya neighborhood. His father, two brothers and infant were killed during the attack, while his wife was seriously injured.
The victims’ bodies were pulled from the rubble after five days of the airstrike due to the heavy shelling.
Dahir’s martyrdom raises the number of journalists killed since the start of Israeli aggression on Gaza to Eight, while 13 others were injured.
13 journalists’ homes were demolished, while 14 media institutions headquarters were targeted since the start of Israeli aggression on Gaza on July 7.
