GAZA, (PIC)-- A least 12 Palestinians were killed on Monday night when Israeli warplanes bombed a residential tower in Gaza.
Eyewitnesses said that Israeli F16 fighter jets bombed on Monday a 12-story residential tower in Gaza city, Quds Press said.
Another nearby tower was also significantly damaged during the attack, the sources added.
12 Palestinians, mostly children and women, were killed while 50 others were injured during the airstrike, medical sources confirmed.
In a bloody massacre, Israeli warplanes bombed on Monday morning a 3-story building where 5 families live in east of Khan Younis southern Gaza Strip.
25 bodies were pulled from under the rubble of which 23 are from the same family including 18 children and 5 women.
Meanwhile, 8 family members were killed in an Israeli airstrike on al-Qassas family's home in Gaza City.
The house was directly targeted without any prior warning, which led to the martyrdom of 8 family members while 4 others were injured.
Local sources underlined that more than 100 Palestinians were killed on Monday as Israeli aggression entered its 15th day.
Civil defense is still working to find survivors throughout Gaza as a number of casualties are still under the rubble.
At least four Palestinians including a member of the Central Committee of the Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine Zakaria Abu Daqa were killed during an Israeli airstrike on Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip.
Three family members were also killed after targeting a group of people in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza.
In the same context, 4 patients were killed and more than 20 others were injured after bombing Shuhada Al-Aqsa Hospital in Gaza.
At least six Palestinians, including three from Hamdiya family, were killed during Israeli shelling on Shujaia neighborhood, in addition to two martyrs in Zaytoun neighborhood.
Nine members of Siam family including seven children were killed on Monday morning when Israeli warplanes bombed their home.
On the other hand, foul-smelling gas bombs were thrown at dawn Tuesday on civilian neighborhoods in Gaza city.
Quds Press quoted eyewitnesses as saying that Israeli warplanes fired foul-smelling gas bombs over Gaza, which caused breathing problems.
Palestinian civil defense has issued a statement containing instructions for dealing with the toxic gases.
Meanwhile, Israeli media sources revealed that the commander of the Israeli army's elite Egoz reconnaissance unit was seriously wounded during clashes on Monday morning.
30 Israeli soldiers were transferred to hospitals after being injured during clashes with resistance fighters, Yediot Ahronot Hebrew newspaper added.
“Lt.-Col. Dolev Kidar, 38, the commander of the Gefen Battalion, was killed Monday morning when Qassam fighters infiltrated Israel and fired an anti-tank missile at the troops”, the newspaper added.

On July 7, Israel started a bloody aggression on Gaza that culminated in a ground offensive last Thursday. At least 606 Palestinians have been killed, mostly civilians, and more than 3700 injured in the unrelenting Israeli attacks on the besieged coastal enclave.
Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation said it lost 27 troops in its ongoing ground offensive in Gaza, while Palestinian resistance said that Israeli casualties are far greater than declared.
