Dozens of casualties reported in West Bank protests

AL-KHALIL, (PIC)-- At least eight Palestinians were killed by Israeli gunfire during overnight protests throughout the West Bank, including four in al-Khalil, two in Nablus, one in Bethlehem, and another in Jenin.
A 14-year-old boy Mohamed Taktakeh was killed at dawn Saturday in Beit Fujar town in southern Bethlehem during violent clashes, which erupted at the entrance to the town.
In al-Khalil, local sources said Israeli occupation forces set fire to an agricultural land belonging to Palestinian farmers at the entrance to Aroub refugee camp.
Medical sources reported that 12 people were injured by live bullets during the ensuing clashes. Angry protesters, in their turn, threw firecrackers towards Israeli soldiers using civilian cars.
In Fawar refugee camp, violent clashes erupted which led to breathing problems among a number of Palestinians after inhaling tear gas. Similar clashes broke out in different towns in al-Khalil and continued overnight.
In Jenin, a 19-year-old bled to death after being shot by Israeli forces at Jalama checkpoint northern the city. 11 serious injuries were also reported during confrontations that took place when IOF soldiers suppressed a solidarity march in support of Gaza.
More than 100 protesters suffered breathing problems due to the heavy tear gas bombs fired by Israeli soldiers during the clashes.
Local sources said that more than 5000 people took to the streets of the city heading to Jalama checkpoint, where Israeli forces randomly opened fire at them.
Meanwhile, six Palestinian youths were killed on Friday as clashes broke out between IOF soldiers and Palestinian protesters at Hawara checkpoint in Nablus and at the entrance of Beit Ummar village to the north of al-Khalil.
The Palestinian young man Eid Fedhelat was killed in Aroub refugee camp after being shot with eight bullets in his chest while on his way home at the entrance to the camp, family sources said.
The sources said that the youth was brutally assaulted by Israeli soldiers before shooting him. Fedhelet bled to death before being transferred to al-Khalil hospital where he was declared dead.
In Nablus, violent clashes broke out after a young man was shot dead by an Israeli settler under Israeli forces protection. Israeli soldiers fired live bullets during the clashes which led to the killing of a second young man.
Eyewitnesses reported that three other youths were seriously injured by settlers’ gunfire during the clashes.
In al-Khalil, three youths were killed during a march organized in solidarity with Gaza Strip after being shot by live bullets. Local sources said that Israeli forces intensively fired live and rubber bullets at the participants. Several injuries, mostly critical, were also reported.
In Tubas, IOF soldiers suppressed on Friday a Palestinian peaceful march in protest against Israeli aggression on Gaza.
Live and rubber bullets were fired by Israeli soldiers at the protesters, which led to dozens of injuries. Four arrests were reported during the clashes.
