40,000 Bedouin people forcibly removed from their homes?

I just got this update and action alert from Jewish Voice for Peace - will you sign on with me?

Today, the Israeli Knesset approved the first reading of the Prawer Plan - a horrifying attempt to forcibly remove 40,000 Bedouin people from their historic homeland. 

Nothing is final yet, but time is running short. Here in the US we have a chance to influence the outcome by letting Israeli Ambassador to the US Michael Oren hear the full force of our disapproval. His job is to watch over US-Israeli relationships - making him a key channel for Americans to voice our complete rejection of the Prawer Plan.
