Mustapha Barghouti Speaks In Toronto This Sat Dec 1


Palestinian Nobel Peace Prize Nominee comes to Toronto on Saturday, December 1st.
  

In light of Israel's recent assault on Gaza, and this week's UN vote on Palestine, CJPME invites you to an important talk by one of Palestine's most articulate leaders: Dr. Mustapha Barhgouti. Dr. Barghouti, Palestinian presidential candidate, legislator, and peace activist, will be delivering a lecture in Toronto, on Dec.1st at 7pm.

Join us as Dr. Barghouti discusses the recent violence against Gaza, and the political and social challenges facing the Palestinians in his talk:
 
Palestine: The Struggle for Freedom

Dr. Barghouti's credentials are impressive and wide-ranging:
  • Nobel Peace Prize nominee
  • Candidate for president of the Palestinian Authority, finishing second
  • Member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, for the Independent Palestine list, a coalition of independents and NGO members
  • Co-founder of the Health, Development, Information and Policy Institute (1989), Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees (1979), and the Palestinian National Initiative (2002)
Dr. Barghouti's address will be followed by a time of Q&A.
