IOA refuses to release an elderly PFLP leader

JENIN, (PIC)-- The Israeli occupation authorities (IOA) refused to release the 69-year-old member of the Palestinian National Council, Ahmed Saleh Musleh Abu Hassan, who is suffering from several diseases.
The Palestinian Prisoner's Committee in Jenin said in a press statement on Saturday that Abu Hassan is considered one of the prominent national figures, and one of the founders and leaders of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP).
It noted that his health condition is constantly deteriorating and that the Israeli prison service refuses to offer him proper medical treatment.
The committee pointed out that the Israeli military court refused the lawyer’s request for the release of Abu Hassan and refused to promise him not to renew Abu Hassan’s administrative detention.
Israeli occupation forces arrested Abu Hassan on December 1st, 2011 and held him under administrative detention despite suffering many diseases, including hypertension and diabetes.
