This Wednesday, May 9th, Shimon Peres, the president of Israel, is giving a talk at the SONY CENTRE one week before the anniversary of the Nakba, and after three weeks of the mass hunger strike by over 1500 Palestinian political
prisoners.
Shimon Peres, as prime minister, was responsible for the first Qana massacre in 1996 when Israel deliberately fired anti-personnel shells into a UN compound in
Southern Lebanon where 800 refugees were seeking refuge. As a result 106 civilians were killed and 116 injured.
