In Canada

Under Section 29 of the Canadian Copyright Act, it states:

Fair dealing for the purpose of news reporting does not infringe copyright if the following are mentioned:

(a) the source; and

(b) if given in the source, the name of the

(i) author, in the case of a work,

(ii) performer, in the case of a performer’s performance,

(iii) maker, in the case of a sound recording, or

(iv) broadcaster, in the case of a communication signal.

The articles that are published on Window Into Palestine are permissible under the above laws under fair use (news reporting). As a routine practice, we try and credit the writers that are published. In the case of the author in question, they are also linked back to their website.

Lastly, nothing is published on Window Into Palestine with a goal to profit by it. Any revenue that is generated gets donated to non-profit organizations that work for the rights of the Palestinians, to people that are Palestinians, things that help promote the the Palestinian cause. This is a human rights issue that I care very much about.
