Anti-Israel rabbis burn Israeli flag in O. Jerusalem

OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (PIC)– A group of Jewish rabbis from anti-Israel Neturei Karta organization on Monday evening torched an Israeli flag during a Jewish holiday called Purim in occupied Jerusalem. Maariv newspaper said the rabbis wanted to express their opposition to the occupation of Palestine and the denial of the Palestinians’ right to their homeland.
The newspaper added that the rabbis raised the Palestinian flag after they burnt the Israeli one.
For his part, deputy head of the Israeli municipal council in Jerusalem David Hendry expressed his extreme anger at the burning of one Israeli flag, stressing that everyone living in Israel must respect its laws and symbols, or else they have no place inside its community.
Neturei Karta is a Jewish organization that does not recognize Israel and rejects its policies.
