The machinery behind the frauds described by Norman Finkelstein years ago has been now exposed

In year 2000, Norman Finkelstein published his excellent The Holocaust Industry: Reflections on the Exploitation of Jewish Suffering. He argued there that the American Jewish establishment exploits the memory of the Nazi Holocaust for political and financial gain, as well as to further the interests of Israel. Moreover, he claims that this "Holocaust Industry" has corrupted Jewish culture and the authentic memory of the Holocaust. Finkelstein's parents were both Holocaust survivors who had been inmates of concentration camps. In Chapter 3: The Double Shakedown, he claims that the number of Jewish survivors of the Holocaust recognized by relief groups increased from c. 100,000 in 1945 to nearly 1 million owing to definitional changes in who was considered to be a survivor. Because of this, Finkelstein repeatedly asserts that fraudulent claims were made on Switzerland, while accounts and assets in the US and Israel were ignored. Payments were made to the wrong people and real survivors lost out. Needless to say, the Jewish establishment and the State of Israel banned this book.
On November 9, 2010, charges were filed in New York against seventeen people accused of taking more than $42 million from programs established to help Holocaust survivors. "The alleged fraud is as substantial as it is galling" said Preet Bharara, U.S. attorney for New York's Southern District, calling it a "perverse and pervasive fraud committed against a not-for-profit organization of historic significance." Over a period of almost 16 years, millions of dollars intended for Holocaust survivors "instead found its way into the pockets of corrupt employees of the Claims Conference and an elaborate network of fraudsters," Bharara told reporters. The money came from two funds managed by the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany, also known as the Claims Conference, a nonprofit that was established almost 60 years ago to assist those harmed by Nazis. Six of the seventeen people charged with fraud and conspiracy are former and current employees of the Claims Conference, according to Bharara. He called Semen Domnitser the "ringleader" of the fraud, saying that for more than 10 years he served as the director and oversaw both the Hardship Fund and the Article Two Fund. The Hardship Fund makes one-time payments of about $3,600 to victims who were forced to leave their homes while fleeing advancing Nazis troops. Bharara said some 5,000 fraudulent applications worth $18 million were processed through the fund. The Article Two Fund gives pension payments of roughly $411 a month to those who earn less than $16,000 after taxes and spent a minimum of six months in a concentration camp or at least 18 months in a Jewish ghetto in hiding or living under a false identity to avoid the Nazis. Bharara said that this fund had processed over 650 fraudulent applications worth more than $25.5 million. Bharara said that applicants were recruited from the Russian-Jewish community and that fake birth dates, birthplaces and "fabricated stories of persecution, completely made up stories about what happened to these individuals during World War II," were written in their applications.
Four of the arrested people have already admitted the fraud. Thus, the machinery behind the frauds described by Finkelstein years ago has been now exposed. Probably, similar frauds would be bare in the next years. There is a good chance that the fraudulent activities of the State of Israel – disguised under group appliances managed by that state – would be finally made public.
Is the Jewish establishment committing serious crimes for the sake of a few million dollars? Does that justify the danger of tainting their reputation? Or is the reason behind these crimes a different one? Israel may be an illegitimate and criminal state, but its leaders are not such big fools. Probably, the money laundering operation of Bank Hapoalim in Tel Aviv makes more money in any single day.
The point is simple. The money doesn’t matter. The number of victims is the most important parameter here. It was the Holocaust
that justified the foundation of the State of Israel by a UN resolution. But what happen if numbers were different? The Jewish obsession with the six million is not casual. What happens if the relative number of Jewish victims during WWII is lower than the ones suffered by the Roma people? The last didn’t get a country. Moreover, recently Romi people have been persecuted in France and Italy. What happens if the number of Jewish victims is comparable to the one of British, American, Russian or Arab ones?
Then, a myth disappears. Then, we reach the Holocaust’s End, and with it, the end of a criminal state.
