Army Invades Central Gaza
Israeli soldiers, supported by a number of armored vehicles and tanks, invaded on Wednesday evening an area east of al-Boreij refugee camp in central Gaza.
Eyewitnesses reported that two Merkava tanks and an armored vehicle advanced 200 meters into the camp.
The army fired one shell and dozens of rounds of live ammunition before leaving the area; no arrests were made and no casualties were reported.
Also on Wednesday, the Israeli army claimed responsibility for assassinating a Palestinian fighter in Gaza.
