American Indians who attend the Day of Mourning at Plymouth understand what is happening in Palestine. Two years ago (last time I made it to Plymouth for Day of Mourning), one of the speakers who addressed those of us at Plymouth was from the Southwest, and had traveled to Palestine. That day, there were many references to Palestine in the discussion of land theft, racism and genocide of American Indians. I have not heard if the same connections were made at the event this year. US support of Zionism and other forms of racism, land theft and genocide around the world and throughout modern history would be a topic worth exploring.
