The Palestinian Return Centre (PRC) in London expresses its concerns
over the statement of ex-Israeli primer, Ehud Olmert, in which he
stated that the previous U.S administration led by George Bush,
offered resettling 100 thousand Palestinian refugees, affectively
terminating the right of return, a key component to peace enshrined
under international law.
Olmert's statements explicitly ignored the right of return for all
Palestinian Refugees who were expelled upon the creation of the state
of Israel. The right to return is guaranteed by all laws and
humanitarian accords including the UN resolutions 194 which was
reaffirmed over a 100 times confirming the right of Palestinians
refugees to return to their land.
PRC affirms that all Palestinian refugees in the camps, Diaspora and
occupied lands aspire to return to their original homes and towns. In
addition to compensating them financially and morally for the
suffering they have endured since the establishment of Israel.
The centre believes that any negotiation or deals that neglect any
right of Palestinian people is unlawful. Furthermore any negotiations
from the Palestinian side which does not have the full popular and
official mandate to represent Palestinians inside the occupied land,
refugee camps and Diaspora is illegitimate.
Even more disturbing, Israeli foreign affairs Minster, Avigdor
Lieberman, yesterday strutted kicking Palestinians living inside in
Israel in any peace deal. He also refuses to freeze settlements being
built on the occupied lands of 1967.
