SYNOPSIS - Nasser Rego considers the legal and political framework of the escalating ethnic cleansing of the Negev – or Naqab – by the Israeli
authorities and argues that, given the fracturing of the “solomonic pillar of
law propping up Israel’s democratic facade”, the time has come for the
international community to fulfil its responsibility to protect Israel’s
imperilled Arab citizens.
