Barhoum: USA encouraging IOA to commit more crimes

GAZA, (PIC)-- Fawzi Barhoum, a Hamas spokesman, said that his movement views with utmost concern the American administration's intention to supply the Israeli air force with cluster bombs and other destruction weapons. He noted in a press release on Monday that the deal was made at a time when the Israeli occupation authority (IOA) was threatening Gaza and the Palestinian people along with Arab and Islamic neighboring countries with more murder, destruction, and shelling of homes and installations. He said that the step was heralding more dangers to the Palestinian people and more war crimes against the Palestinians and peoples in the region, adding that it represents an actual participation on the part of the American administration in the IOA violations and crimes against humanity. The spokesman said that the deal contradicted what president Barack Obama had announced in his speech in Cairo in which he talked about respecting freedoms, human rights, and the right of the Palestinian people to live in freedom and security in an independent state. Barhoum said that the American security, military, financial, and political support to the IOA at a time it was threatening more wars constituted a green light to the IOA to go ahead in its crimes and violations.
