Egypt hunts and kills Gaza tunnel workmen every week

LONDON, (PIC)-- The Arab organization for human rights (AOHR) in Britain revealed Tuesday that the Egyptian authorities every week hunt and kill the Palestinian workmen inside Gaza tunnels through spraying poison gas, flooding the tunnels with water or exploding them in collaboration with the Israeli air force.

In a report, the AOHR said that the Egyptian authorities also arrested hundreds of those tunnel workmen and jailed them without revealing their fate.

The report affirmed that the Egyptian side of Rafah area became a hotbed for foreign intelligence parties that directly oversee the construction of the steel wall being built on Gaza borders.

The report added that the US administration allocated $50 million to buy sophisticated equipment to monitor the Palestinian-Egyptian borders, while France will launch a spy satellite (Helios 2 B) that will place Gaza under surveillance day and night.

The AOHR condemned this US-Egyptian steel wall as a crime against humanity, noting that the wall is aimed to tighten the noose around the Gaza people.

The AOHR called on the Egyptian people and the Arab and Muslim nations to protest against these Egyptian measures and work on exposing them.

In a related context, the association of Palestinian scholars denounced the fatwa issued by Al-Azhar head Sayyed Tantawi which legalized the construction of the steel wall, saying that Tantawi was paid to issue such fatwa.

The association cited many religious texts from the holy Qur’an that prove that this wall is a major sin in Islam and refuted Tantawi’s baseless fatwa.

The association also hailed all Muslim scholars all over the world for stating the religions verdicts that forbid the building of the steel wall.
