Flying in the wind
Like a scrap of paper in the wind
The Goldstone report flaps sickly like a tattered kite
It was supposed to swoop over the UN
But it was shot full of holes and black ravens tore it to shreds
At the Villa in the Jungle
sadists and war criminals giggle in glee
for another victory is under their belt
War crimes are washed once again to the dead sea
obama sits glumly in the white house within the shining city on the hill
stammering and unsure like chamberlin, for he was not worshipped and appeased as before
his hands tied by AIPAC and he wouldn't dare mention the words;sanctions or punishment
with egg on his face the emperor has no clothes and so he shuffles back behind the iron gates
Hanthala raises his fist at the iniquity and outrage at the scream of the silence of complicity from Arab 'brothers'
Business is business and power struggles are more important than war crimes and a common enemy
Adalah is that kite in the hurricane wind
Cowards wearing keffiyeh's as a fashion statement and in 'solidarity' for the plight of the Palestinian
But lo and behold
we do have chutzpah
a Libyan prince has stepped up on the stage
a tiny voice barely heard above the hypocritical din; "Let us hear this Goldstone Report" Qaddafi cries
So new breath of life will keep tinker bell alive
and resurrection from the grave will strengthen the voice i pray
For the Genocide on Gaza was a Nanjing, a Dresden, a Pearl Harbor
and for those who commit such horrific crimes must pay the fiddler on the hot tin roof
Israel bombed a closed prison it created without remorse, mercy, justification, morality or conscience
As it punished those who refuse to live like cowed collective prisoners and for voting in a free election
and America this calls for you too in this dirty atrocity for responsibility
For you armed these blitzkrieging stormtroopers and sold them your best for this butchery
Flying in the wind
The Goldstone Report soars to the UN
free and unshackled, its truth must be heard in every court in the land, on every tv, on the lips of every voice everywhere
For if we are to have laws, then all must be accountable, not just the chosen few who try to cover the crimes with a carpet lumpy with lies
No one, no country, no superpower, can be above the law for if we have law then all must abide
