Al Arreesh – It is a humanitarian crime and a moral catastrophe. Unfortunately, it is committed with the knowledge of the security and executive systems in Al Arreesh City.

A group of the thieves entered the Olympic pitch attached to Al Arreesh Stadium and stole the humanitarian aid for Palestine sent by Arab countries and by several civil society foundations from all over the world.

The thieves stole food and medical supplies which was allocated for Palestinians suffering from the unfair Zionist blockade. Hundreds of tons of food, medicine and clothes are being stolen during the day without interference from the security services.

The North of Sinai Governor is the supervisor of this aid. He ignores the situation and does not impose surveillance of this aid which is sent by Arab states as humanitarian support for the Palestinians. This lack of surveillance makes it easy for the thieves to steal the aid.

Fact International (FI) observed that the thieves stole aid even while a police vehicle was in front of Al Arreesh Stadium. The inhabitants of a building in front of the Stadium informed the police about the theft of the aid but “they did not prevent the thieves from stealing the aid.”

A FI correspondent tried to contact Major Mohammad Shousheh, the North of Sinai Governor, to discuss the theft of the aid but he did not respond to any attempts to contact him. The same thing occurred when FI contacted Mahmoud Abo Al Majd, the Co-ordinator of the Egyptian Red Crescent in the north of Sinai – he did not respond to the attempt by FI to contact him.

This made it easy for the thieves to steal millions of tons of the aid.

The aid must be protected by the North of Sinai Governor and sent to the Palestinians in Gaza.
