Bush gives Israel green light to enter Gaza' who really runs the United Nations?

US President George W. Bush has reportedly given Israel the green light to launch a ground incursion into the Gaza Strip.

Citing sources in Washington, the Israeli website Debkafiles which is believed to have links with Israeli military and intelligence circles reported that in a telephone conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, Bush had given a go ahead to an all-out military operation against the costal enclave.

Bush has reportedly promised Israel to veto any UN Security Council resolution condemning Israel in an upcoming meeting of the world body next Monday.

Israel started its attacks on the Gaza Strip last Saturday with Israeli tanks and troops deployed along the border.

Analysts believe the Israeli nonstop air raids on the coastal region which have so far killed more than 430 people will be followed by a massive ground offensive.

Hamas warned Israel against a ground attack, vowing a “black destiny” for Israeli troops who dare to cross the Gaza borders.
