Arab Girl returns home after life-saving surgery in Italy

On November 5th, 9-year-old Sundus Zedan returned home to Damascus,
Syria after having life-saving open-heart surgery by Dr. Giancarlo
Crupi in Bergamo, Italy. Sundus suffered from congenital heart
disease and could not be treated in her country. She went to Italy
with her mother and was treated by Dr. Crupi and his hospital through
the Gift of Life program. Dr. Crupi has saved the lives of hundreds
of Arab children by treating them in his hospital in Italy, or by
leading surgery missions to Palestine over the past 10 years.
