Quds committee calls for allocating next Friday as "day in support of Jerusalem"

GAZA, (PIC)-- The Quds committee in the ministry of Awkaf (endowment) and religious affairs in Gaza called for turning next Friday, which marks the 51st anniversary of occupying Gaza, the West Bank and Jerusalem, into a "day in support for occupied Jerusalem."

This call was made during a press conference held Tuesday by Dr. Abdullah Jarboa, the deputy head of the Quds committee, who called on the Arab and Islamic nation to shoulder their religious and historic responsibilities towards the liberation of Jerusalem.

Dr. Jarboa highlighted that Jerusalem is an Arab city and an Islamically-endowed land as the rest of Palestinian lands, warning of the danger of a Jewish conference held in US to intensify efforts and financial assistance to support the Zionist schemes of Judaization and settlement expansion in Palestine especially Jerusalem.

The Palestinian official called on the ministers of endowments and preachers to make next Friday Kutbas (sermons) an occasion to talk about the Aqsa Mosque and Jerusalem in order to keep this city present in the minds and hearts of Muslims.

The Palestinian official also urged all media outlets to make next Friday a day in support of Jerusalem, calling on the Arab League, the organization of the Islamic conference, the Muslim world league, the Jerusalem committee in Morocco, and the international association of Muslim scholars to move urgently and effectively to stop all settlement and Judaization campaigns carried out against Jerusalem and its holy places.
