Badil Info-Packet and Resources for Nakba-60 Campaign


Bethlehem, April 2008: The BADIL Resource Center for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights is pleased to announce that the Nakba-60 Info-Packet is now ready for order. We would also like to use this opportunity to announce the relaunch of our Nakba-60 Resource website, that includes the newly released Nakba-60 Info-Packet and list of global events commemorating 60 years since the forcible transfer of a majority

of the Palestinian people and calling for the implementation of
Palestinian refugees' right to return.

The info-packet, which can be easily downloaded from the site, includes:

useful fact-sheets providing a historical and legal background to the Palestinian refugee issue, as well as colorful brochures for activists and journalists which provide information on the ongoing displacement of Palestinians as well as suggestions on how to support the Palestinian refugees' right of return campaign. The packet also includes a brochure titled "Q&A: What You Need to know about Palestinian Refugees and IDPs" which clarifies the rights-based approach to refugees' right of return, and responds to many of the prevailing myths surrounding the Palestinian
refugee issue.

Print copies of the Info-Packet, which includes all of the above, as
well as the latest issue of al-Majdal, a map describing the
distribution of the Palestinian refugees across the globe, and a multi-media CD. The Info-Packet can be ordered by sending an email to mediaenglish@badil.org and can be obtained for a nominal fee that varies depending on quantities ordered and shipping and handling costs.

In addition to the Info-Packet, the relaunched site also includes
resources such as selected BADIL publications, including relevant
issues of al-Majdal our quarterly magazine, maps, statistical information, and a presentation of pictures from our photo archive that visually portray the experiences of displacement and exile.

Since BADIL committed to post all events relating to the 60th year of Nakba, many have sent us information about their events and activities taking place across the globe. The list of these events is also available on the site, and is continuously updated. We encourage you to send us information on any relevant events not already listed.
