GAZA, (PIC)-- John Ging, the director of UNRWA operations in
Gaza Strip, addressed an urgent appeal to the world to
immediately step in and end the human crisis engulfing
the Strip due to the IOA siege.
Ging, in a press conference late on Sunday, underlined
that the blackout in Gaza reflected the extent of suffering
of the Gaza inhabitants.
He drew the attention to the fact that no fuel supplies
entered Gaza since Thursday, recalling that the previous
supplies did not meet the needs.
UNRWA official underlined that hospitals in Gaza worked
only on electricity generators and that they were now out of
work because fuel is no longer available.
The Gaza inhabitants are paying dearly and the world
should protect them, Ging said, adding that civilians
should be protected at times of conflict according to
the international law.
