Press Release: The Genocide of Gaza Continue

Press Release
The Genocide of Gaza Continues
The latest round of Israeli war crimes in Gaza has resulted in the brutal killings of more than 31 Palestinians in less than a week. The latest casualty was the farmer Mahdi Abu Daqqa from Kahn Younus, who was killed brutally while farming his land. This brings the death toll since the convening of the Annapolis conference to more than 62 Palestinian martyrs. 30 of them were terminally ill people waiting for the Israeli authorities to allow them to leave Gaza in order to get treatment in the West Bank, or Jordan and Egypt. We condemn in the strongest possible terms these heinous crimes and call upon all civil society organizations and freedom loving people to act immediately in any possible way to put pressure on their governments to end diplomatic ties with Apartheid Israel and institute sanctions against it for its 40 years of military occupation of the West Bank and Gaza.
We also call on the international community and the Arab and Islamic worlds, to take up their responsibility to protect the Palestinian people from this heinous aggression and immediately terminate the continuing Israeli policy of collective punishment. Nothing whatsoever justifies the Israeli savagery and its genocidal war, including the severing of access to the water, electricity and fuel supply to 1.3 million people. The latest fuel crisis has almost brought the entire strip to a stand still. Many clinics are forced to shut down, students and teachers cannot get to their schools and universities, doctors and nurses are not able to carry out operations and treat their patients; garbage heaps are everywhere due to the inability of municipality workers to move in their cars. Children, the sick and elderly are the first to be affected. Given that it is the height of winter in Gaza and temperatures are low, people are already experiencing severe cold and flue due to lack of electricity and fuel.
We call upon the international community to demand that the rogue State of Israel end its siege and compensate for the destruction of life and infrastructure that it has visited upon the Palestinian people. We also call upon all Palestinian solidarity groups and all international civil society organizations to demand:

- An end to the hermetic siege that has been imposed on Gaza.

- The protection of civilian lives and property, as stipulated in International Humanitarian Law and International Human Rights Law such as The Fourth Geneva Convention.
-An end to occupation, Apartheid and other war crimes.
