The Media department of the Nafha Society, which is active in defending human rights and the Rights of Palestinian detainees in Israeli detention facilities, stated on Thursday that Israeli soldiers attacked and severely punched 25 detainees in Huwwara detention camp.

One of the lawyers of the society stated that the attack was carried out on Wednesday when several soldiers broke into the rooms of the detainees, forced them out to the prison yard, and severely attacked them with batons and punched them.

After attacking the detainees, soldiers forced them to remain in the yard for the whole night.

Huwwara is one of the Israeli detention facilities that are infamous for the harsh treatment and abuse practiced by the soldiers against the detainees.

The Nafha society called on human rights groups to intervene and end the suffering of the detainees, and added that these attacks come in direct violation to the international law and the basic principles of human rights.
