No room at the inn

Israeli flagSo what happened in the Holy Land during the Easter/Passover holidays? Israel evicted Palestinians from their homes in East Jerusalem:

“Israeli authorities have handed out eviction notices to nearly 100 Palestinian families living in East Jerusalem. The notices state that the Palestinian homes are built on land that belongs to a Jewish woman who died recently. Her heirs now want to reclaim the land but the residents are determined to stay in the only home they have. [Israeli police] handed out letters, telling residents to leave their homes within two weeks.” (link)

That’s quite an interesting legal justification for eviction, don’t ya think? I think it would have been less insulting if they had evicted the Palestinian families by force like they do everywhere else, instead of under the guise of “legal process”.
