Gaza - In a clear indication of its success in upgrading the efficiency of its home-made missiles, the Palestinian resistance fired Tuesday morning two locally-made rockets at the Israeli settlement of Sderot, accurately hitting an electricity substation in the colony and sending it into total darkness.
According to Israeli security sources, at least one Palestinian missile slammed into the settlement that hit the power plant in the colony, and moderately wounded an Israeli settler.
The Quds Brigades, armed wing of the Islamic Jihad, in a military communiqu it issued and a copy of which was obtained by the PIC claimed responsibility for the missile attack, explaining that it was in retaliation to the IOF troops' brutality in the Gaza Strip and West Bank.
On Monday, the Brigades rocked the same settlement with two medium-range Quds missiles that inflicted material damage in the colony, according to Israeli accounts.
Making it uneasy for the IOF troops to remain in Palestinian lands, the Nasser Salahuddin Brigades, armed wing of the Popular Resistance Committees (PRC), announced in another military communiqu, a copy of which was also obtained by the PIC, that its fighters successfully detonated two roadside bombs in IOF armored vehicle in Khan Younis district.
The PRC armed wing affirmed that members of its monitoring unit succeeded in surveying the incident place well and carried out the attack efficiently.
The Brigades' military communiqu affirmed that the attack was in reprisal to the IOF crimes in the Palestinian areas.
Mirkava tanks under threat in Gaza Strip:
Meanwhile, the Hebrew Yedioth Ahronoth paper quoted Israeli security sources as expressing utmost security fears over the ability of the Palestinian resistance in upgrading the effectiveness of the destruction power of its missiles.
According to the paper, the sources affirmed that the Gaza Strip was "racing with time" in deriving lessons from the combat style of the Lebanese Hizbullah fighters who defeated the IOF troops in the latest Israeli war on Lebanon.
The Palestinian resistance factions, according to the sources, started to comprehend the decisive role of missiles in fighting the IOF troops, and therefore, they strived to possess as many of them as they could through smuggling or locally manufacturing them.
The paper further quoted the sources as affirming that there was a clear shift in the ideology and culture of the combat style of the Palestinian resistance factions in Gaza Strip and the West Bank.
The sources, according to the daily newspaper, pointed out to what they described as a "propaganda film" distributed by Hamas Movement displaying a new missile named "Battar" that is able to penetrate the armored Israeli Mirkava tank, alleging that "specialists" from Hizbullah had arrived to the Strip last year and trained Hamas fighters on upgrading their missiles and combat styles.
In an unrelated matter, the IOA issued an order denying all Palestinian male citizens less than 45 years old and female citizens less than 40 from entering the Aqsa Mosque or perform their prayers in it, unless they get prior permit from the IOA!!
The order was viewed as part of the IOA harsh measures against Palestinian citizens wishing to pray in the holy shrine during the holy month of Ramadan.
